Wood Nook Pond
A newly acquired water adjacent to the River Calder at Woodnook. A pond that has been looked after for years by a small dedicated group of anglers, and Mirfield AC intend to continue to preserve the fishing and wildlife surrounding this beauty spot. It has 15 pegs with platforms. Plenty of fish including Roach, Perch, Rudd, Carp, Crucians, Skimmers, Chub etc. Access is down Foxholes Lane to the bottom of Altofts Canal, where it re-joins the river. Please park tidily, respect other users!

Woodnook Reservoir
(w3w mingles.locate.wrap) Go past our river car park at Foxholes Lane, Altofts and follow the canal, go under the motorway bridge to the bottom lock. Park sensibly in the car park. Pegs 1 to 5 are above the lock. Access to pegs 6 to 15 is over the lock, gain access only by using the lockgate nearest the river and follow the path to the river.
Further Information
To get to the reservoir, you must cross the bottom lock do not use the top lock and walk in front of the lock keepers house look for the gate on the right hand side. NO NIGHT FISHING OR FIRES. There is a club padlock on the gate you will require a club key.
