Lindley Wood Reservoir

Our latest acquisition and what a beauty! Committee members are overjoyed at this fishing jewel. The reservoirs is positioned on the River Washburn within the Wharfe Valley and inside the grounds of  the Farnley Estate. This reservoir has been untouched from a coarse fishing point of view, for many years it was an exclusive Trout syndicate water. However natural stocks of Chub, Perch and Dace have thrived since the damming of the Washburn over a hundred years ago to create Lindley Wood Reservoir. Roach and Bream stocked further up the reservoir chain have also populated and successfully bred in the water to create a superb mixed coarse fishery. Located in the stunning wooded Washburn Valley the reservoir offers anglers fishing in one of the most tranquil spots in Yorkshire. If bites are short then the Red Kites and Osprey will entertain.
